Kaleidosong
Turn one picture and one song into a living kaleidoscope. The music decides how it turns, where it travels and how it blooms.
How it works
How it works
- Choose a picture: a photo, a painting, anything with color and detail.
- Add a song (MP3, WAV, M4A…).
- The app listens to the whole song first: its tempo, harmony, loudness, bass and brightness.
- Press play. The picture opens up into a mirrored pattern of squares or hexagons, and the song moves it from the first beat to the last.
- Export the video when you like what you see.
Why it's unique
Nothing in the motion is random. Every movement is a trace of the song:
Sets the speed of the turning: one full turn every 32 beats.
The note that dominates chooses which part of the picture you see. When the chords change, the view drifts to another place; when the music returns, so does the pattern.
Decides how fast the view wanders.
Sets the size of the piece being mirrored: deep bass shows more of the picture.
The high frequencies set how dense the pattern is.
How busy the sound is slowly rotates the whole pattern.
The video starts and ends with the original picture. The same picture and the same song always give the same video.
What you get
An MP4 video (H.264 + AAC) with the song, at 30 or 60 fps. It opens in CapCut and on phones.
And a PNG of any moment, in full resolution.
